What is the ACT?
English - 45mins, 75 questions

tests ability to revise and edit short texts and essays in different genres.
Math - 60mins, 60 questions

tests the mathematical skills you have typically acquired in courses up to the beginning of grade 12.
Reading - 35mins, 40 questions;

tests ability to read closely, reason logically about texts using evidence, and integrate information from multiple resources.
Science - 35mins, 40 questions

tests problem solving skills required in biology, chemistry, earth/space science and physics.
Writing - 40 mins, 1 prompt

SCHOLARSHIPS! The ACT exam scores are not a reflection of your intelligence and do not predict your college performance BUT it does bring in money for you so please do your best!

Your High School GPA plays a big role also in acceptance to university but getting a high score in ACT test can help get you scholarships from the university you applied for (average score is a 21).
What is the PSAT?
One of the most important tests aiding in college tuition, the PSAT/NMSQT stands for the National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test, which students take as a junior.
PSAT scores aren’t evaluated in the college admissions process; however, a high PSAT score is a strong indicator that an applicant will earn a high score on the SAT, which impacts your admission chances.

What is the SAT?
The SAT is an entrance exam used by many universities to make admissions decisions. The purpose of the SAT is to measure a high school student's readiness for college, and to provide colleges with a common data point that can be used to compare applicants.
Commonly taken during junior year of high school, which allows for retakes if they do not earn their desired score.
