Miracle Mindset is an early outreach program that serves first generation/low income high school students from the entire state of Oklahoma. Ultimately, our purpose is to eliminate the achievement gap and the lack of access to educational resources, information, and opportunities that our students face. Students will have access to a ton of free resources such as ACT workshops, scholarships, laptops, parent informational sessions, and so much more. And by providing these services, we are taking steps into eliminating the barriers that our students face in reaching higher education.

Why We Exist

First-generation, low-income students frequently fall through the margins as they progress through high school, and far too many are discouraged from pursuing a college degree, especially at a top-tier college or university.

This holds true, even when they possess similar or higher levels of community involvement, standardized test scores, and academic performance when compared to their more affluent peers.

High-achieving, low-income students often find themselves with scarce support, resources, or role models who are knowledgeable of the competitive admissions process at selective colleges.

While their grades and test scores show evidence of talent, intellect, grit, and perseverance; few first-generation, low -income students allow themselves to dream of the same paths or possibilities that exist in wealthier school districts, better-funded high schools and more college-savvy homes.
